We go to Hollywood often and being a non smoker this is not non smoker friendly Ugh. After all, isn't what they told us would happen? My only solice was reflecting on the fact that some of money going into this cash cow was coming back out as some assistance for Seniors. I yearned for the noisy days of the dixie cups filled with nickels. I think it was designed by the bean-counters not the marketing department. It's a decent facillity but the layout doesn't make sense. (if you can find them) Restaurants are mediocre (although I didn't try the steak place}. Although they did break down and provide a couple of $1.00 Roulette games. Maybe thats why these tables were usually empty. If you wants to play.you pay! Even their 'zombie' games, where there is no live dealer, requires the same minimum bet as the tables. Got the feeling the money was pouring in so they simply do not care about their customers. You would think they would set up some lower limit tables for those of us who are simply pleasure gambIers. (maybe there wern't any) I was there on a holiday and some gaming tables were empty. I was there 6 hours and didn't hear any shouts of joy from a winner. This place doesn't even sound like a casino. Minimum bets at table games are too high.

I have been to most of the casinos on the east coast, from Atlantic city to Foxwoods in CT., and the next time we go for a road trip Hollywood Casino will be on my list of stops. After playing my favorite slots, I was wandering around and found an exit right to the horse racing! And although I didn't bet on any races, I truely enjoyed just watching them ponies run! The facility is laid out very well that even when I wasn't sure where I wandered from, I entered a door that led me right back into the slot floor, and following the advice from a staff to 'follow the red carpet, and you won't miss anything', I soon found my way back to my husband. But don't get me wrong, there was plenty there to keep me busy. I, on the other hand, have no interest in table games. His dealers were very skilled, and went above and beyond to make their guests feel comfortable. And although he didn't hit big, he was pleased with the excitement and personell.

On a recent visit, my husband tried out one, well a few, of their 53 new table games. Hollywood Casino has hit the nail on the head with this win win situation.
